The SHM SHeMesh Committee wants to expand our community’s outreach beyond the ongoing creation and distribution of the Kindness Bags by partnering with the Friendship Shelter. Since 1988, the Friendship Shelter of Laguna Beach has provided short term housing and food for otherwise unhoused folks, as well as actively helping to find permanent housing and employment resources.   

The Shelter’s very specific needs change month to month. For January, we hope to collect some of the items that were specifically requested by the shelter. We will be collecting items before services on Friday, January 31st (6:30-7pm) and Sunday, February 2nd (9am-12pm).
