The environmental impact of transportation, including gas emissions and freight, is significant to our Orange County community. In the past two years our Civic Engagement Series has brought in speakers to educate us on these issues. Everyone left wanting more time for questions and discussion. This year we will present “Environmental Impact 3.0,” where we will have information presented but will allow more time for your questions and discussion.

*Learn how housing links to transportation and vice versa, which brings up issues of housing supply, housing shortages and transit-oriented development

*Discuss the recent Los Angeles fires – are there lessons for our transportation system? For housing? Panelists will discuss how their organizations plan for extreme events

*Discuss the impact of transportation on freight and goods movement and what the goods movement ecosystem means for our economy and sustainability

*Learn about the motivation behind creating the I 405 toll lane and how congestion tolls really work, and more...


Guests are welcome to attend, if invited by a SHM member. 
All attendees must register and bring an ID for entry.
